The strategy board meets twice per year and helps the director to keep the strategy focused and aligned with the societal needs at global level. It is made up of 10 to 15 senior members with specific expertise and an international reputation for excellence in their fields.
The required expertise (besides computing) to ensure multidisciplinary, international visibility, vision, high quality academic and industrial research, engagement with public and private bodies are: communication, medicine, biology and biotechnology, economy, law and ethics, management engineering, pharmacology, industrial experience both in tech companies and pharma companies, cybersecurity. The members of the strategy board help increase the scientific and industrial network of the lab as well as the empathy of the lab with public institutions and citizens.
