Abstract

The Training Project "Miniminds-FARM - Training of specialists in innovative methodologies and techniques for middleware interoperability and integration of critical systems on time and reliable" will form no. 10 professions of industrial researchers, able to intervene successfully in the processes relating to the design, implementation and testing of innovative middleware for the integration of heterogeneous critical systems, especially in the application domain of interest of the Selex ES SpA (partner of the Temporary Purpose of the project supervisor Laboratory COSMIC demand PON02_00669) such as systems for air traffic control (ATC) and maritime (VTS), integration Airport systems (IA), the systems of homeland security (HS)

Attività CINI (inglese)

•          Research on distributed systems, middleware technologies and network security, research and training on:
•          Systems and Real Time Fault Tolerant (FT & RT)
•          Mathematical models (eg., Formal model based on Stochastic Activity Networks) for the analysis of systems FT & RT;
•          Middleware architecture inherently fault tolerant and able to meet the requirements of real-time (mission-critical middleware).
•          Network technologies and Intrusion Detection System (IDS)
•          Development methodologies and testing of complex systems based on critical components OTS
•          Dependability benchmarking and fault injection
•          Performance assessment of data distribution middleware (DDS)
•          Analysis of the dependability of COTS operating systems (eg Linux) and Virtual Machines (Java Virtual Machine)
